How to Create a Chatbot for Instagram
Great news! Similar to WhatsApp, you can also create a chatbot for your Instagram account to help with automated replies, user/team assignments, and even an exclusive function to collect a WhatsApp number automatically!
Create your first Chatbot in Instagram
- Go to your WATI Dashboard and navigate to Automation
- Click on Chatbots from the Automation Menu
- Click on the button "Add Chatbot"
- Click on the Instagram menu button and start adding nodes which are available for Instagram chatbot
Chatbot compatibility between Instagram and WhatsApp
If the chatbot has an Instagram icon next to its name, then it is compatible with Instagram. Otherwise, it can only be used on WhatsApp.
When editing a chatbot, there's a separate tab that shows Instagram-compatible chatbot functions. Nodes/Functions that are not compatible with Instagram are greyed out.
To create the chatbot itself you only need to drag and drop the nodes from the left panel and connect each node. Then save the chatbot once done and start testing the chatbot!
