Before you begin
As of November 1, 2023, Meta Business Verification is no longer required to increase the messaging limit of your WhatsApp API number.
You can now increase your messaging limit by messaging 2,000 unique contacts within a 30-day period while maintaining a high-quality rating.
However, some Meta features may still require Business Verification. If your business needs access to those features, follow the steps below to complete the verification process.

Step 1: Check your verification status
Log in to your Meta Business Manager account.
Go to Business Settings.
Open the Security Centre.
Review your current Business Verification status.
Step 2: Prepare your business documents
Before starting the verification process, make sure you have valid business documents ready.

Ineligible for verification
The Start Verification button may be unavailable, or you may see an Ineligible for verification message if your business does not currently require access to features that need Business Verification.
Step 3: Start the verification process
In the Security Centre, click Start Verification.
Review the involved steps, have the necessary information ready and click on Get started to begin the process.
Select your country.
Select your business type.
Select if your business is registered or not yet registered
Registered: The business is registered with the government and you have access to or can obtain official documents related to business registration, such as a GST certificate or business PAN.
Not yet registered: The business is not yet registered or the business is represented by an individual.
A. Business registered
If your business is registered, select the option and continue these next steps:
Enter your business details and click Next.
Share your contact information and website details.
Meta will use the submitted details and look up an official record of your organisation. Based on the findings, it will provide the list of businesses. Select your business from the list.
Note: If you don't find your business, select the option "My business isn't listed".

Step 4: Complete identify verification
Meta requires you to complete your identity verification to confirm your connection tot he business.
Meta will use your official government issued ID or an official document to confirm your relationship with the business.
Choose the type of ID to upload to confirm your identity
Provide the photo ID proof or the official documentation based on your selection and complete the identity verification process.
Step 5: Submit your verification request
Enter your business email address, if required.
Enter the verification code, if applicable.
Finish your verification.
Step 6: Wait for Meta's review
After submission, Meta will review your application.
Verification may take anywhere from 10 minutes to 14 working days.
Once the review is complete, Meta will notify you of the outcome.
You can also monitor your verification status at any time from the Security Centre.
B. Business is not yet registered
If your business is not registered, follow these steps:
Select your business is not yet registered
Continue and submit your business details such as business name, business address, contact information and business website.
Choose a verification method and complete
Meta provides several verification options. Select the method that works best for your business.
1. Phone call or text message
Use this option if you can provide a valid legal document that includes:
Your business name
Your business phone number
2. Email verification (recommended)
Email verification is typically the fastest verification method.
Choose this option if you have access to an eligible business email address associated with your company.
3. WhatsApp message
Meta will send you a confirmation code to your number on WhatsApp.
4. Domain verification
If your business domain has already been verified with Meta:
Click Use Domain Verification.
Follow the prompts to continue.
If your domain has not yet been verified:
Complete the domain verification process.
Return to the Security Centre.
Click Continue to proceed with Business Verification.
Upload your business documents
Select the document type you want to submit.
Upload the required document.
If the document contains your business phone number or business address, select Yes when prompted.
Uploaded documents must include the legal business name you entered earlier during the process.
Verify the legal business name and the business address or phone number.

After uploading your documents, click Next to continue with the Meta Business Verification process.
In the final step, confirm your email address. Meta will send a verification code to your email, which you'll need to enter before submitting your verification request.
Enter the confirmation code and complete verification.
Important notes about business details
Make sure the information in Company Details within your Business Portfolio matches the details on your Business Registration (BR) certificate or business license exactly, including the legal business name and other registered information.
Ensure the website URL listed in Company Details points to a website that clearly displays your company information in the footer. The company name and details shown on the website should match the information on your Business Registration (BR) certificate or business license.
Key points to remember when getting your business verified by Meta:
The uploaded document must be clear, in color, and display the entire document without any cropped or obscured sections.
All submitted documents must be valid, current, and unmodified. Expired, altered, or edited documents will not be accepted.
