How to Set Up Webhooks for Multiple WhatsApp Numbers in Wati

Updated yesterday

Summary

Wati now supports webhook configurations for multiple WhatsApp numbers, making it easier to manage events across different numbers from a single place. This guide explains how to set up webhooks and what to expect when events are triggered.

Instructions

Follow these steps to configure webhooks for multiple numbers:

Step 1: Open the Webhook settings

  • Log in to your Wati account.

  • From the left-hand menu, click on Webhook.

Step 2: Add a new webhook

  • Click the Add Webhook button.

Step 3: Choose your numbers

  • Select one or more WhatsApp numbers you want the webhook to apply to.

Step 4: Select events to track

  • Choose the event types you want the webhook to listen for (e.g., message received, chat assigned).

Step 5: Save your settings

  • Click Save to activate the webhook for the selected numbers.

When an event is triggered, the webhook payload will include an additional field called channelPhoneNumber. This value tells you which WhatsApp number triggered the event.

Note: The Payment Captured event is currently not supported for multiple numbers. It will only work with the default number.
