Summary
Every Wati subscription includes a set number of operator seats that determine how many team members can access your workspace. Growth plans include 3 operators by default, while Pro and Business plans include 5 operators.
If your team needs more operators, you can purchase additional operator seats directly from your Wati account. This guide explains eligibility requirements, how to purchase additional operator seats, and how billing works for add-on operators.
Instructions
Before you begin
Additional operator seats are available only for Pro and Business plans.
If you are currently on the Growth plan, you must upgrade to a Pro or Business plan before you can purchase additional operator seats.

How to purchase additional operator seats
Log in to your Wati account.
Go to Settings > Account Details.
In the left navigation menu, under Billing Information click Your Plan.
Locate the User Add-on section.
Click Add more users.
Use the slider to select the number of additional operator seats you want to purchase.
Click Buy Now to complete your purchase.
Once the purchase is completed, the additional operator seats will be added to your subscription.
Important: The add-on selector only displays the number of additional operator seats you want to purchase. It does not include the operator seats that are already included in your subscription plan.
Growth plans include 3 operators by default.
Pro and Business plans include 5 operators by default.
Example 1: Adding operator seats
If your Pro or Business plan includes 5 operators by default and you want a total of 8 operators, select 3 additional operator seats in the add-on selector.
Do not set the value to 8, as the selector only counts additional operator seats.
Example 2: Reducing operator seats
If your account currently has 10 operators in total (5 included operator seats + 5 additional operator seats) and you want to reduce the total to 9 operators, reduce the add-on operator seats from 5 to 4.
The resulting total will be:
5 included operator seats
4 additional operator seats
9 operators in total
Adding more than 10 additional operator seats
If you need more than 10 additional operator seats, you cannot use the slider to adjust the quantity.
Instead, enter the required number of additional operator seats directly in the Input User Count field and click Buy Now.
Example: Suppose your Wati account currently has:
5 operator seats included in your plan
16 additional operator seats
This gives you a total of 21 operator seats.
In the add-on section, the Input User Count field will display 16, which represents only the additional operator seats.
If you want to remove 2 additional operator seats and add 4 new ones, the calculation would be: 16 - 2 + 4 = 18
Update the Input User Count field from 16 to 18, then click Buy Now.
Your account will then have:
5 included operator seats
18 additional operator seats
23 operator seats in total
How user add-on billing works
Additional operator seats follow the same billing cycle as your main subscription plan.
For example:
If your Wati subscription is billed monthly, additional operator seats will also be billed monthly.
If your Wati subscription is billed annually, additional operator seats will also be billed annually.
Important notes
Additional operator seats can only be purchased on Pro and Business plans.
Add-on operator seats follow the same billing frequency as your base subscription.
If you reduce the number of operator seats or chatbot sessions, the change will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Eligibility and operator seats
1. How many operator seats are included in each Wati plan by default?
Growth plans include 3 operator seats by default. Pro and Business plans include 5 operator seats by default.
2. Can I purchase additional operator seats on the Growth plan?
No. Additional operator seats are available only on Pro and Business plans. Growth plan users must upgrade to a Pro or Business plan before purchasing additional operator seats.
3. Does the add-on selector show the total number of operator seats in my account?
No. The add-on selector only shows additional operator seats. It does not include the operator seats already included in your subscription plan.
For example, if your Pro or Business plan includes 5 operator seats and you want 8 operator seats in total, you only need to select 3 additional operator seats.
Managing operator seats
4. How do I reduce the total number of operator seats in my account?
To reduce the total number of operator seats, reduce the number of additional operator seats. For example, if your account includes 5 operator seats by default and 5 additional operator seats, reducing the add-on count from 5 to 4 will reduce the total number of operator seats from 10 to 9.
5. How can I add more than 10 additional operator seats?
When you need more than 10 additional operator seats, use the Input User Count field instead of the slider. The field allows you to enter the required number of additional operator seats directly.
6. What does the Input User Count field represent?
The Input User Count field shows only the number of additional operator seats, not the total number of operator seats in the account.
For example, if your account includes 5 operator seats by default and 16 additional operator seats, the field will display 16 even though the account has 21 operator seats in total.
Billing
7. How are additional operator seats billed?
Additional operator seats follow the same billing cycle as the main Wati subscription. Monthly subscriptions are billed monthly, and annual subscriptions are billed annually.
8. When do reductions to operator seats take effect?
If you reduce the number of additional operator seats or chatbot sessions, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
