Summary
Before your business can make an outbound WhatsApp call, the contact must first grant permission. This requirement is mandated by Meta and the permission stays valid for only 7 days.
The Request Accepted view in Wati shows you exactly which contacts have already granted permission. Instead of checking chats one by one, your team gets a real-time list of call-ready leads so you can focus on calling, not tracking permissions.
Instructions
Why the Request Accepted view for WhatsApp calling matters
Meta requires users to explicitly grant permission to businesses before a business can place an outbound WhatsApp call.
Each permission:
Must be granted by the contact
Is valid for 7 days only
Expires automatically after the time window
If you don’t have active permission, you can’t place the call.
Without a centralized view, agents must manually open each chat to check whether permission exists. This slows down outreach and increases the chance of missing follow-ups.
The Request accepted view solves this by listing all eligible contacts in one place.

How does Request Accepted view works
The Request accepted view automatically tracks and filters contacts based on active call permission.

These contacts are added to the list automatically
You can follow up immediately without sending a new request.
Real-time updates
The list refreshes dynamically
Expired permissions disappear automatically
New permissions appear as soon as they are granted
You always see the latest call-ready contacts.
One-click context
Click any contact
Their chat opens in the center panel
Review past messages before placing the call
This helps you call with full context and have better conversations.
How to access the Request Accepted view
Follow these steps:
Go to Team Inbox from the left sidebar
Select WhatsApp Calls
Click the Request accepted tab under the channel list
You’ll now see all contacts who currently have active call permission.
Tip: If a contact you expected to call doesn’t appear here, their 7-day permission has likely expired. Send a new permission request through chat before calling again.
