Summary
Leads sometimes go quiet after the first message - and following up manually can take up a lot of your team’s time. Wati’s new Auto Follow-Ups feature solves this by automatically sending follow-up messages to unresponsive leads from your Click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) ads. This guide explains how the feature works, what you can configure, and how to get it enabled on your account.
Instructions
What are Auto Follow-Ups?
Auto Follow-Ups help your business stay connected with leads who haven’t responded after their initial message. Instead of agents spending hours manually following up, Wati will automatically send follow-up messages for you. This saves time and increases your chances of re-engaging potential customers.
How it works
When a lead from a CTWA ad doesn’t respond, Wati automatically sends follow-up messages on your behalf based on the settings you configure. Here's what the first version of Auto Follow-Ups includes:
Up to 3 follow-ups per lead: You can send a maximum of 3 automated follow-up messages to each unresponsive lead.
Customizable time intervals: Choose how long to wait between each follow-up message.
Single template: Use one WhatsApp message template that will be used for all follow-ups.
CTWA-only support: Auto Follow-Ups will be sent only on CTWA ad conversations.
No manual work: Once enabled, Wati handles the rest - no action required.
Availability
The Auto Follow-Ups feature for CTWA Ads can be found under the Ads tab. It is available to users on the Ads Add-On and Business plans.
