You can export your chat history from Wati and download it as a .zip file containing individual .txt files for each contact.
Important
The WhatsApp Chat Backup Chrome Plugin was deprecated on May 20, 2024. Wati does not support importing WhatsApp chat history. The plugin no longer provides chat import or backup functionality.
Wati supports exporting chats only. Importing existing WhatsApp chat history into Wati is not supported. The only exception is the one-time chat history sync available during WhatsApp Coexistence onboarding.

Export your chats
Follow these steps to export your chat history:
Log in to your Wati account.
Click on your profile picture on the top right corner.
Navigate to Settings → Import/Export Chats. Although the menu includes the word Import, Wati currently supports chat export only.
Click Start Export.
Wait for the export process to complete.
Once the export is ready, you'll receive an email with the download link.
Alternatively, you can also return to Settings → Import/Export Chats and click Download to download the chats.
What happens after the export?
After downloading the export:
