Summary
Accidentally removed Wati from the Partners list in your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) settings? No problem. This guide shows you how to add Wati back in Meta Business Manager so Wati can access your account and send WhatsApp messages on your behalf.
If you’re connecting your number to Wati for the first time, you do not need to do this manually. Wati is added automatically during the Embedded Signup process. These steps are only required if Wati was removed by mistake.
Why this is important
Wati needs partner access to your WABA to:
Send WhatsApp messages
Manage templates
Access account settings required for messaging
If Wati is not listed under Partners, messaging through Wati will not work.
Important notes
This process applies only to MM Lite API (non-CoEx) WABAs.
For CoEx WABAs, if partner access is removed, you must redo the entire CoEx Embedded Signup (ES) flow from the beginning. Partner access cannot be restored manually in this case.
If you’re unsure whether your account is connected via CoEx or MM Lite API, contact Wati Support for help.

How to verify if WABA access revoked for Wati
To verify whether Wati is removed from your WABA or WABA access has been revoked for Wati:
Check the top-right corner of your Wati account for the Connected indicator.
If your WhatsApp number is visible under Connected, the WABA is connected to Wati.
If your WhatsApp number is not visible under Connected, Wati does not currently have access to the number. This can happen when WABA access has been revoked.
Note: The Channel Status page may still show Your number is well connected even when WABA access has been revoked. If the number is missing from the Connected section in the top-right corner, follow the steps to restore Wati's access to your WABA.
