Instructions

When a customer clicks your TikTok Click-to-TikTok Direct Messaging (Click to DM) ad and starts a conversation, Wati automatically identifies the conversation as originating from TikTok. Based on your configuration, Wati reports supported conversion events back to TikTok to help improve the performance of your ad campaigns.

Before you begin

Make sure the following requirements are met:

  • Your TikTok DM channel is connected to Wati.

  • Your TikTok Ads account is connected to Wati.

  • Conversations originate from TikTok Click-to-TikTok Direct Messaging (Click to DM) ads.

Connect your TikTok Ads account

Before you can report conversion events, you must connect your TikTok Ads account.

  • Log in to your Wati account.

  • Go to Ads > Click-to-TikTok Ads.

  • Click Connect Accounts.

  • Sign in to your TikTok Ads account.

  • Select the TikTok Ads account that you want to connect.

  • Select the Event Set for the account.

  • Click Connect Ads Account.

  • Review the authorization request and click Agree.

Your TikTok Ads account is now connected. Wati can now report supported conversion events for eligible conversations.

Configure conversion events

After connecting your account, configure which template messages should trigger conversion events.

  • Go to Ads > Click-to-TikTok Ads > Conversion Events.

  • Under Lead, select the template messages that should identify a contact as a lead.

  • Under High Intent Conversation, select the template messages that should identify a high-intent conversation.

  • Under Qualified Lead, select the template message that should identify a qualified lead.

  • Save your changes and make them live.

When one of the configured template messages is sent successfully, Wati automatically reports the corresponding conversion event to TikTok.

Enable Report spam if you want Wati to notify TikTok whenever an agent marks a conversation that originated from a TikTok ad as spam.

Attribute conversation conversions to TikTok ads

Select the TikTok Ads account you want to use for attribution.

When enabled, Wati reports supported conversion events to TikTok, allowing TikTok to attribute conversions and optimize future ad campaigns.

Once your account is configured, Wati automatically reports events for eligible conversations.

  • A customer clicks your TikTok Click-to-TikTok Direct Messaging (Click to DM) ad.

  • The customer starts a conversation in TikTok DM.

  • Event Type – The type of conversation or conversion event that was reported, such as Lead, High Intent Conversation, Qualified Lead, Spam, or messaging events.

  • Created – The date and time when the event occurred.

  • Report Status – Indicates whether the event was successfully reported to TikTok.

  • Ad ID – The TikTok ad associated with the conversation.

  • Event Set ID – The Event Set used to report the conversion to TikTok.
