Who can use TikTok Automation?
TikTok Automation is available to Wati users who have a TikTok Business account connected to Wati.
If you have not connected a TikTok Business account, Wati prompts you to connect one when you open the TikTok tab under Default Actions.
Create a TikTok automation rule
Follow these steps to create an automation rule to automatically respond to incoming TikTok messages:
Go to Automations.
Create a new automation rule.
Set the trigger to New TikTok message is received.
Add at least 1 filter to define when the rule should run.
Select an action.
Save the rule.
Turn it on.
Available filters
You can use the following filters:

By Day / Time | Message received during working hours or outside working hours |
By Chat Status | Chat is initiated by a contact |
By Contact | Contact exists or does not exist |
By Message Content | Incoming message matches specific keywords |
By Custom Segment | Filter audience based on a custom segment |

Create a keyword-based automation
You can trigger an automation when an incoming TikTok message contains specific words or phrases.
Create a TikTok automation rule.
Select New TikTok message is received as the trigger.
Add the Incoming message matches keyword rule filter.
Enter the keywords or phrases that should trigger the automation.
Add an action.
Save the rule.
You can add multiple keywords to a single automation rule. Keywords are configured directly within the automation rule, so no separate keyword setup is required.

When a TikTok automation rule is triggered, you can choose from the following actions.

2. Send a chatbot action
You can launch an existing chatbot flow to handle the TikTok conversation automatically.

When a chatbot is actively handling a TikTok conversation, a chatbot indicator appears in Team Inbox. This lets your team know that the conversation is currently being handled by a chatbot.

Route chat: Transfer and assign the conversation to a specific human agent or team queue.
Update Chat Status: Change the current status of the conversation, such as Open, Resolved, or Pending.
Add Tags: Add custom labels to the conversation or contact for easier filtering and segmentation.
Update contact attribute: Update specific fields in the customer's CRM profile, such as their name, email address, or qualification status.
