To migrate your account, your phone number must have 2-factor Authentication (2FA) disabled from the source WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).

How to Migrate Your WhatsApp Business Account to WATI

Follow these steps to migrate your account:

  • Ask your current BSP to disable 2FA for the number, or if you have access to the current WABA, you can do this yourself.

Turn off 2FA

  • Go to the Channel Status on your WATI account and start the onboarding process.

  • Make sure you create a new WhatsApp account during the process.

Create a new WhatsApp Business Account

  • Input the same Display Name currently used on your number.

  • Verify the same number, and you should see a similar notification as follows:

  • Trigger the One-Time Password (OTP) to the number via SMS or voice call.

  • Complete the rest of the process and your number should be migrated in a few minutes!
