Summary
Want your Wati credits to reflect pricing in Indian Rupees (INR) instead of US Dollars (USD)? This guide walks you through how to switch your credit currency, including everything you need to check before you start, what to expect during the migration, and what happens after the process is complete.
Before you begin
Before starting the migration, make sure you meet the following requirements:
You have admin access to your Meta Business Manager.
Your registered phone number can receive a verification code from Meta (via SMS or voice call).
During migration, you’ll be guided to disable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your connected WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).
A new WABA will be created, since Wati credit currency is tied to the WABA’s currency.
The migration usually completes within 1–3 minutes, provided there are no technical issues.
Messaging tiers and conversation history remain unaffected, but it’s best to perform the migration during off-peak hours to avoid service interruptions.
