Summary
Wati now supports managing multiple WhatsApp numbers under a single Business plan account. This guide explains how the new feature works, what it means for your existing subscription, and what to expect during the release. With this update, you no longer need a separate Wati account if your business has multiple WhatsApp numbers.
Note:
Multiple WhatsApp numbers are only supported on Wati's Business plan. If you’re on the Wati's Growth or Pro plan, you can add only one number.
Broadcasts are now Campaigns – same powerful features, updated name!
Instructions
What’s new?
Previously, if you had more than one WhatsApp number, you had to maintain separate Wati subscriptions for each number. This meant separate logins, billing, and plan limits for each account.
With the new Multiple WhatsApp Number feature, Wati Business plan customers can now add and manage multiple WhatsApp numbers within a single account. This feature simplifies your workflow and reduces the overhead of managing multiple accounts.
Key highlights
You'll need to purchase the add-on for each additional number to add an additional WhatsApp number.
All added numbers will share the same Business plan limits. This includes:
Number of users
Chatbot sessions
AI support agent responses
Number of teams
Message credits
For example:
If your plan allows 6 users, those 6 users are shared across all added numbers.
If you have $50 in message credit, charges for all linked numbers will be deducted from that shared pool.
If you need more users or resources, you can purchase additional add-ons just like before.

How to add a new number to your Wati account
💡Tip: If your phone number gets disconnected from your Wati account, you can reconnect it at any time by following these same steps, mentioned below.
If you already have a Wati account with a WhatsApp number and wish to add a new number, follow these steps:
Log in to your Wati account.
Go to Settings, then click on Channels.
Under the Channel Status page, click on Add to add a new number.
Enter a name that can be used to identify the number. E.g., Support, Sales, Marketing etc.
Click on Continue. After that, you will be taken to the Embedded Signup process page.
Follow the steps and complete the Embedded Signup process to finish adding your WhatsApp number to your Wati account. If you need any help, please refer to this video.
Once the number is successfully added, you will be redirected to the channel status page, where the added numbers will appear in the dropdown menu as shown below.
Note: When you select a number from the dropdown, the Message Limit Info and other status details shown will update to reflect the selected number.
Once additional numbers are added, the following features will become available:
Team Inbox
Wati users can manage chats for all connected numbers by selecting a number from the dropdown.
Note: If you have connected multiple numbers, you can also view Team Inbox analytics for each number. Go to Analytics → Inbox Analytics, then select the number from the dropdown as shown in the screenshot.
Campaign
When a template is submitted, it will be automatically submitted to all connected numbers at once - there’s no need to submit it individually for each number. You can also view campaign analytics, send campaigns, and perform other actions based on the selected number.
Contacts
Contacts received from all connected numbers will appear in the Contacts section. Each contact will include an attribute in the format whatsapp_phno: phno, where phno is the connected number. If you want to filter contacts by a specific number, you can use this attribute.
Automations
Once automations such as Default Actions, Keywords, Sequences, Routing, Reply Material, or AI Support Agents are set up, they will be applied to all connected numbers by default. The same applies to Chatbots - once created, a chatbot can be used across any of the connected numbers.
If you want to set up automations specific to a particular number, you can use Rules, where you’ll have the option to select the number the rule should apply to.
WhatsApp Flows
WhatsApp Flows can now work with multiple WhatsApp numbers under the same account.
WhatsApp Flow limits (Business Plan)
Business Plan customers can create up to 10 WhatsApp Flows. This limit does not change.
If you have a Multi-Number WhatsApp Account (MWA) and publish a flow, it will be published to all linked numbers at the same time.
Even if it is deployed to multiple numbers, it counts as one flow from your total limit. For example, after publishing one flow, you will still have 9 out of 10 flows remaining.
Changes in the chatbot builder
In the WhatsApp Flow node, you will now see a dropdown menu to select the channel (WhatsApp number).
After selecting a channel, you can choose from the flows published for that specific number.
When a flow is selected
The generated attributes will include the channel name as a prefix. Example:
channelname_flowname_contentAll attributes created for that flow will also include the channel name as a prefix.
If no channel name is set, the phone number will be used as the prefix instead.
Note:
If you have only one WhatsApp number connected, nothing will change. Your flows will continue to work the same way as before.
If you have multiple numbers connected, the channel name (or phone number) will be added as a prefix to flow attributes.
Behavior in automations
When creating an automation rule:
If you select a chatbot as the action, and that chatbot contains a WhatsApp Flow node:
The flow must be published for the selected WhatsApp number.
If the flow is not published for that number, the chatbot will stop or send no response.
The same behavior applies to Default Action automations when a chatbot is selected as the response.
