Who can use Facebook Comments?
Facebook Comments is available to Wati users who already have integrated Facebook Messenger and have access to Facebook Messages in their Wati account.
No additional permissions are required if you already have access to Facebook Messages.

Access Facebook Comments
Facebook Comments is available as a separate section in Team Inbox.
Log in to your Wati account and go to Team Inbox.
Select Facebook Comments from the left sidebar.
Select a Facebook Page post to view its comments.
Facebook Comments is separate from Facebook Messages, so your existing Facebook Messenger conversations are not affected.
View Facebook Page posts and comments
The Facebook Comments section shows your Facebook Page posts and their comment activity.
For each post, you can see:
Post thumbnail and preview
Post date and time
Number of comments
Number of likes
To view comments on a post:
Open Facebook Comments.
Select a post.
View the comments in the thread.
Expand a comment to view its replies.
Comments are sorted based on the most recent reply activity.
Each comment displays:
Commenter's name
Commenter's profile picture
Comment content
Comment timestamp
You can also select the link in the post details to open the original post on Facebook.
Reply publicly to a comment
You can reply directly to a Facebook comment from Team Inbox. Your reply is posted publicly in the same comment thread.
Open the relevant Facebook Page post.
Find the comment you want to respond to.
Click Reply icon next to the comment.
Enter your response.
Click Comment.
Your reply appears publicly in the comment thread.
Replies posted by your business account are labeled Author, making them easy to distinguish from customer comments.
Note: The comment composer currently supports text and emojis. Voice notes and message templates are not supported.
Send a private message to a commenter
You can send a private message to a commenter directly from their comment.
Open the relevant Facebook Page post.
Find the comment you want to respond to privately.
Click Direct Message icon next to the comment.
Enter your message.
Click Send button to send the message.
You should see the indicator near reply text box that you are replying to the commenter privately via Direct Message.
The message is sent privately to the commenter. The resulting conversation appears in Facebook Messages with a label indicating that it originated from a Facebook comment.
Private reply time limit
Meta limits the time during which you can send a private reply to a comment.
If the private reply window has expired:
The private reply option is disabled.
Wati displays a reason explaining why the private reply cannot be sent.
Important things to know
Facebook Comments is separate from Facebook Messages
Facebook Comments has its own section in Team Inbox. Your existing Facebook Messenger conversations continue to work separately.
When a private reply is sent to a commenter, the resulting conversation appears in Facebook Messages.
Commenters are added as contacts only when needed
A person who comments on your Facebook Page is not automatically added to your Wati contacts.
A commenter is added as a contact only when you initiate a private reply or direct message with them.
Post history
By default, you can browse up to the 600 most recent posts from the time your Facebook Page was connected to Wati.
Public comment replies have limited message options
When replying publicly to a Facebook comment, the composer supports:

For each Facebook Page post, you can see the post thumbnail and preview, post date and time, number of comments, and number of likes. You can open a post to view its comments and expand a comment to see its replies.
4. Can I reply publicly to a Facebook comment from Wati?
Yes. You can reply publicly to a Facebook comment from Team Inbox. Your reply is posted in the same comment thread and is labeled Author. The comment composer supports text and emojis, but does not support voice notes or message templates.
5. Can I send a private message to a Facebook commenter?
Yes. You can send a private message to a commenter by selecting the Direct Message icon next to their comment. The resulting conversation appears in Facebook Messages with a label showing that it originated from a Facebook comment.
6. How long can I send a private message to a Facebook commenter?
Meta limits the time during which you can send a private reply to a comment. Once the private reply window expires, the private reply option is disabled in Wati, and Wati displays a reason explaining why the message cannot be sent.

7. Are Facebook commenters automatically added as Wati contacts?
