Understanding Wati's pricing structure

Summary

Wati’s pricing is designed to be flexible so you can choose a plan and features that match your business needs. Your total cost depends on 3 main components: your subscription plan, messaging charges, and any optional add-ons you enable.

This article explains how Wati pricing works, including subscription plans, WhatsApp messaging fees, pricing updates, and available add-ons.

Instructions

How Wati pricing works

Wati pricing consists of the following components:

  • Subscription fee

  • Messaging fee

  • Optional add-ons

Each component is billed separately, allowing you to customize your subscription based on your requirements.

1. Subscription fee

The subscription fee is the recurring cost of your selected Wati plan. You can choose either monthly or yearly billing.

Wati currently offers the following plans:

  • Growth Plan

  • Pro Plan

  • Business Plan

To compare pricing and features for each plan, visit the Wati Pricing Page.

2. Messaging fee

Messaging fees are charged based on:

  • The country where messages are sent

  • WhatsApp’s message-based pricing model

To send messages, you must maintain sufficient credits in your account balance.

You can follow our guide to learn how to top up your credits.

Pricing update: Message-based pricing

Meta introduced a new message-based pricing model effective July 01, 2025.

Under this model, businesses are charged based on the number of messages sent instead of the number of conversations.

Previous pricing model: Conversation-based pricing

Until June 30, 2025, Wati used a conversation-based pricing model.

With this model:

  • Charges were applied per conversation

  • The monthly subscription fee was charged separately

Free service messages

Service messages remain free under the new message-based pricing model.

If you are using Wati’s legacy plans:

  • Standard

  • Professional

  • Enterprise

The first 1,000 service messages each month are free. Additional service messages beyond that limit are charged.

For more information about the pricing changes, refer to the guide: Message-Based Pricing: All you need to know.

3. Add-ons

Wati offers optional add-ons that provide additional functionality for an extra cost.

  • Automatically executes actions based on specific conditions.

  • Use it to send notifications, assign tasks, or update records instantly.
