Monthly chatbot sessions

Monthly Chatbot Sessions refer to the number of times your chatbot or automated workflows are triggered within a billing month.

How chatbot sessions are counted

A chatbot session is counted every time your chatbot is triggered, including:

  • A customer starting a chatbot conversation

  • An automated workflow triggering a chatbot

  • An internal action inside your Wati account that starts a chatbot

Important points:

  • Each new chatbot interaction counts as 1 session.

  • The number of messages exchanged in that interaction does not matter.

  • The session count resets at the beginning of each billing cycle.

To avoid interruptions, monitor your chatbot session usage in your Wati dashboard. If you regularly exceed the limit, consider upgrading your plan.

  • Please note that Monthly Chatbot Sessions apply only to Wati’s older plans. If you are on a old Wati plan and need more Chatbot Sessions, please contact the Wati billing team at [email protected].

  • In Wati’s 2025 plans (currently active), chatbot sessions no longer exist as a separate limit. Instead, chatbot usage is counted under Automation Triggers.

If your plan does not include enough chatbots, you can purchase additional chatbot capacity.

In the 2025 plans, chatbot limits have been updated:

  • Growth: 2 chatbots included (to create more chatbots, you must upgrade to Pro or Business)

  • Pro: Unlimited chatbots

  • Business: Unlimited chatbots

  • In Wati’s 2025 plans (currently active), chatbot sessions no longer exist as a separate limit. Instead, chatbot usage is counted under Automation Triggers.

  • If you are on a older plan and need more chatbots or need more chatbot sessions, please contact the Wati billing team at [email protected].

Keyword actions add-on

Keyword Actions allow you to trigger automated responses based on specific keywords.

  • In the 2025 plans (currently active), Keyword Actions are no longer offered as a separate add-on. Instead, they are included under Automation Triggers.

  • If you are on an older Wati plan and require the Keyword Actions add-on, please contact our billing team for assistance.

AI Support Agent (aka KnowBot) responses add-on

If your KnowBot response limit is not sufficient, you can increase it with this add-on.

If your current KnowBot response limit is not enough for your usage, you can expand it by purchasing this add-on.

AI Support Agent responses included in 2025 plans

  • Growth: Not included

  • Pro: 250 responses per month

  • Business: 1,000 responses per month

If you reach your monthly limit, you can purchase additional KnowBot responses to avoid interruptions in AI-powered replies.

Team add-on

Your Wati plan determines how many teams you can create and manage within your account.

  • Growth plan: Not included

  • Pro plan: 10 teams

  • Business plan: 20 teams

  • If you need more teams than your plan allows, you can purchase additional team capacity (where applicable).

  • This is useful for businesses that want to organize agents into separate departments while maintaining structured access and visibility.

User add-on

The number of users you can add depends on your Wati plan.

User limits for 2025 plans

  • Growth plan: 3 users included

  • Pro plan: 5 users included

  • Business plan: 5 users included

If you need to add more users beyond the included limit, you can purchase additional user seats (subject to plan eligibility).

Important note

  • You can purchase additional user seats only if you are on the Pro or Business plan.

  • If you are currently on the Growth plan, you will need to upgrade to Pro or Business before you can add more users.

Custom domain

A custom domain lets you customize your Wati account URL to match your brand.

For example:

Instead of using live-xxxx.wati.io, you can set up a branded URL such as yourbrandname.wati.io.

  • Growth and Pro plans: One-time fee of $50

Dedicated server

A Dedicated Server provides better performance, stronger security, and more control by assigning exclusive resources to your Wati account.

  • Available only for Business plan users

Automation triggers add-on

Automation Triggers are predefined conditions that automatically initiate actions within Wati.

For example, when a specific keyword is detected, a message is sent automatically.

How automation triggers work

Automation follows 3 steps:

  1. Condition is met – The system detects a predefined condition (for example, a keyword match or user action).

  2. Automation executes – The system performs the configured action (such as sending a message or updating a record).

  3. Usage is tracked – Each trigger counts toward your monthly limit.

Each Wati plan includes a fixed number of Automation Triggers per month:

  • Growth plan: 1,000

  • Pro plan: 2,000

  • Business plan: 5,000

If you regularly reach your limit, consider upgrading your plan or purchasing additional capacity to ensure uninterrupted automation.

Automation usage is counted each time an automation is triggered within Wati.

If a keyword starts an action, such as sending a chatbot response, the entire flow is counted as one automation, not multiple.

For example:

  • A keyword is triggered → counts as one automation

  • The keyword triggers a chatbot response → still counts as one automation

  • A keyword sends a response and the conversation continues and then a chatbot is triggered → counts as two automations (one for the keyword and one for the chatbot trigger)
